ROC Riders..

The team ride on the last Sunday of each month is a mountain bike ride.  Something new for us and for those who have a mountain bike.  Don’t be left out!  Always wanted to try mountain biking?  Now’s your chance!  Need a loaner bike?  Check with our friends at Fair Wheel Bike!

Ride Route:  This week’s team mountain bike ride will start from the Sweetwater Trailhead at 8am.  Lots of trail options for us and a desert full of wildflowers and saguaros!  Being this is our first time to mountain bike as a team ride, we’ll work out a ride plan as we go.  We could do coffee afterwards at the trailhead or make our way back to the Mercado for coffee, pastries AND breakfast burritos.  Or, we could do both!

News and Updates:
Saturday, April 6th:  El Grupo Bicycle Scavenger Hunt.  Take a day and enjoy something new and adventurous with the local community, youth of El Grupo and your fellow teammates.  If you haven’t had a chance already, please RSVP by this Friday to this year’s Scavenger Hunt captains, Natalie O’Farrell and Brenda Kazen.  Captains are making plans for some “colorful” ROC scavenger hunting gear and it will be helpful to get an approximate headcount so we can order accordingly.

ROCClinics:  Check with teammate and ROCkstar, Karen Schwartz, for the return of her weekly clinics to work on fitness and stamina.  More funner in a group!

Fair Wheel Bikes:  Word has it there is a crazy deal on a most gnarly Specialized Stumpjumper at the shop.  How about a $1,000 savings?!  Check with Dennis Leiker for details and yet another killer team deal for Ride On Cycling.  This special team team deal is for current ROC riders and their referrals/friends only.  It is not available to the general public.

2nd Annual GEARage Sale:  In conjunction with the GABA Swap Meet on Sunday, April 14th, teammate Rip Nicholson is pulling together her 2nd Annual GEARage Sale and Fundraiser.  Not just  bike stuff, but camping gear and what have you.  Please see Rip for full details and how to help clear out your GEARage!

For your convenience as well as your friends, there are two collection points.  One at Crossroads Coffee Company on Wednesday, April 3rd and one at Fair Wheel Bikes on Saturday, April 6th.  Please help support and pass the word via email and/or her Facebook Event and invite.

2019 Ride On Cycling Team Sponsorship:  Have a business or know a local business that would like to sponsor Ride On Cycling on behalf of the work it does to help financially support local youth charity?  As a reminder, all sponsorship dollars are given directly to El Grupo Youth Cycling.  And, all completed sponsorship referrals/sign-ups are applied to your annual team fundraising commitment and any potential incentives.  Have thoughts, ideas or questions on who may be interested?  Please let me know how I can help bring them along for the ride!

RIDE ON!!
